VI Mobile Pomerania Conference
„Mobile Pomerania – prospects for the development of Pomeranian railway transport. PKP Szybka Kolej Miejska in the Tricity – 25 years of service to the public.”.
The year 2026 marks a special moment in the Company's history – an opportunity to summarize 25 years of its development and present its current position as one of the key suburban railway operators in Poland. PKP SKM in the Tricity, as a carrier and infrastructure manager, plays a significant role in the region's transport system, providing daily connections for hundreds of thousands of passengers and forming the communication backbone of the Tricity agglomeration. The conference will be an opportunity to discuss the future of public transport and the role of suburban railways in the development of modern metropolises.
During the meeting, it is planned, in particular:
- presentation of the Company's achievements, including key infrastructure and rolling stock investments and solutions
improving the quality of passenger service; - highlighting the importance of PKP SKM in the transport integration of the Tricity Metropolis;
- Initiating a debate on the challenges facing rail transport in the Pomerania region;
- Indicating directions for further railway development by setting investment priorities
and technological advancements for the coming years, as well as a discussion of the role of railways in a sustainable transport system; - strengthening cooperation between industry partners, public institutions, and the community
scientific and business.
On the first day of the conference, it is planned Study visit to the Company, enabling familiarization with its technical background and solutions supporting the development of modern commuter rail.
The conference will create an excellent space for sharing experiences, establishing new relationships, and jointly celebrating the anniversary of PKP Szybka Kolej Miejska in the Tricity.
